BRIEF-Dow says some Rohm and Haas holders back deal

July 10 (Reuters) - Dow Chemical (DOW.N) and Rohm and Haas ROH.N:

* Dow Chemical says shareholders owning 32 percent of Rohm and Haas stock, including Haas family representatives, have entered into agreements to support the transaction.

* Dow Chemical said it is making excellent progress on closing Kuwait joint venture deal.

* Dow Chemical sees 35 percent of synergies from Rohm and Haas deal coming from purchasing-synergies, including raw materials (Reporting by Euan Rocha and Jessica Hall) (For more M&A news and our DealZone blog, go to here)
