News Corp unit in new $2.25 bln credit agreement

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - News Corp said on Tuesday its News America subsidiary reached a new credit agreement consisting of a $2.25 billion five-year unsecured revolving credit facility.

Under the agreement reached on May 23, News America may request an increase in the amount of the credit facility up to a maximum amount of $2.5 billion. News Corp said that at the time it entered into the new credit agreement, its prior credit agreement originally scheduled to expire on June 30, 2008, was terminated with no outstanding borrowings.
