Pulte Homes says to cut 16 pct of work force

SAN FRANCISCO, May 29 (Reuters) - Citing a difficult market for home builders, Pulte Homes Inc. (PHM.N) said on Tuesday it would cut 16 percent of its work force.

Bonds

The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based home builder said it expects a pre-tax charge this year in the range of $40 million to $50 million related to the job cuts, most of which will occur this quarter.
