Carnival orders cruise liner for 500 mln euros

LONDON, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Carnival Plc (CCL.L) (CCL.N) said on Wednesday that its Cunard Line unit had signed a contract with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri for the construction of a new 2,092-passenger ocean liner.

The 92,000-ton liner, scheduled for service in 2010, will be built at an all-in cost of around 500 million euros ($702.2 million), it said in a statement.
