The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has yet to approve the deal, though the two companies passed a major test last month when they received U.S. Department of Justice permission to proceed.

Sirius shareholders were due to meet on May 20, while XM's meeting was set for May 23. (Reporting by Michele Gershberg, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
