Teva gets FDA nod to market generic version of Abbott antibiotic
May 10 (Reuters) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA.O) said it has received regulatory approval to sell a generic version of Abbott Laboratories Inc.'s (ABT.N) antibiotic Omnicef in both capsule and oral suspension forms.
Omnicef capsules and Omnicef oral suspension had annual sales of about $325 million and $533 million, respectively, in the United States, according to IMS sales data.
Israel-based Teva is currently involved in a patent litigation with Abbott over this product.
