Curis says Ortho Biotech plans to end license agreement

May 18 (Reuters) - Drug developer Curis Inc. (CRIS.O) said Ortho Biotech Products L.P. plans to terminate the license agreement with Curis and cease its development efforts on the BMP-7 program for kidney and other diseases.

Preclinical research efforts on bone morphogenetic protein-7 molecules have been ongoing at Ortho Biotech Products L.P. since November 2002 under a license agreement between the parties, the company said in a statement.

The agreement will terminate on Aug. 16, it said. (Reporting by Shikhar Balwani in Bangalore)
