Thomson says Reuters takeover to close April 17

TORONTO (Reuters) - Electronic publisher Thomson TOC.TOTOC.N said on Friday its takeover of financial data and news provider Reuters Group RTR.L has now received all required antitrust and regulatory clearances and is expected to close on April 17.

Stocks  |  Mergers & Acquisitions  |  Bonds

Shareholders of both companies will vote on the deal at meetings on March 26 in London and Toronto, Thomson said.
