Vietnam Airlines completes Boeing plane order

NEW YORK, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Boeing Co (BA.N) said on Wednesday Vietnam Airlines and Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Co finalized an order for 12 Boeing 787-8s with a list price of about $2 billion.

Vietnam Airlines will take four of the new mid-sized, lightweight airplanes and VALC will purchase the remaining eight, leasing them to Vietnam Airlines. The order was originally announced in October.
