Court allows Bioenvision stockholder meet on Oct 22

Oct 10 (Reuters) - Bioenvision Inc BIVN.O and Genzyme Corp (GENZ.O) said a Delaware court granted a petition filed by them on Tuesday to reconvene Bioenvision's special stockholder meeting on Oct. 22 to vote on their merger agreement.

In May, Genzyme had said it agreed to acquire Bioenvision for about $345 million in cash to gain exclusive rights to clofarabine, a cancer treatment for children. (Reporting by Manish Gupta in Bangalore)
