Restoration Hardware holiday sales fall 1 percent

NEW YORK, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Restoration Hardware Inc RSTO.O said on Friday sales for the nine-week holiday shopping period fell 1 percent to $171.5 million, citing a challenging environment for the home furnishings sector.

Seasonal gift items did not sell as expected and the weakness in sales was concentrated in its decorative accessories business, Restoration said. (Reporting by Aarthi Sivaraman; Editing by Derek Caney)
