Alkermes says FDA approves new dose of risperidone

April 13 (Reuters) - Alkermes Inc. (ALKS.O) said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a new dose of risperidone for the treatment of schizophrenia.

The drug, manufactured by Alkermes and marketed in the U.S. by Janssen L.P., will allow more options to individualize treatment, the company said in a statement. (Reporting by Anant Vijay Kala in Bangalore)
