Hi-Tech Pharmacal gets final FDA nod for generic Flonase

Jan 16 (Reuters) - Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co Inc (HITK.O) said U.S. regulators granted final approval for its fluticasone propionate nasal spray, an AB-rated generic version of GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK.N) Flonase, for the treatment of seasonal and perennial, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis.

Sales of branded and generic fluticasone propionate nasal spray, 50mcg was over $700 million for the 12 months ended June 2007, according to IMS sales data, the maker of over-the-counter generic drugs said in a statement. (Reporting by Neetha Mahadevan in Bangalore; Editing by Amitha Rajan)
