Astellas Pharma, King Pharma settle lawsuits against Teva

Oct 22 (Reuters) - Astellas Pharma Inc said its U.S. units alongwith Item Development AB and King Pharmaceuticals Inc (KG.N) had settled lawsuits against Teva Pharmaceutical related to Adenoscan, an agent used in heart stress study.

Stocks

The lawsuits pertained to an abbreviated new drug application filed by a unit of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TEVA.O) for a generic version of Adenoscan.

Under the settlement, Teva Pharmaceutical will be able to launch its generic for Adenoscan under a license in September 2012. (Reporting by Anant Vijay Kala in Bangalore)
