Dobson Communications says DOJ clears its buyout by AT&T
(Reuters) - Dobson Communications Corp DCEL.O said the U.S. Department of Justice has cleared its acquisition by AT&T Inc. (T.N) on condition that AT&T sell Dobson's assets in three rural areas and the Cellular One brand.
The rural service areas include an area outside Oklahoma City and two areas outside Lexington, Kentucky, Dobson said in a statement.
AT&T is also required to divest minority interests it holds in wireless businesses operating in Texas and Missouri rural service areas.
