Inter-Tel says stockholders OK acquisition by Mitel Networks

Aug 2 (Reuters) - Inter-Tel Inc. (INTL.O) said its stockholders approved the acquisition of the company by Mitel Networks Corp. for about $723 million, or $25.60 a share in cash.

The preliminary tabulation provided by its proxy solicitor indicated that more than 60 percent of its outstanding shares voted in favor of the deal, the communications systems and software provider said in a statement. (Reporting by Dilipp S. Nag in Bangalore)
