HotPads.com Releases Foreclosure Heat Maps and Foreclosure Listings

With home foreclosures at record levels, housing search engine launches
innovative foreclosure heat maps and listings

WASHINGTON, April 8, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- HotPads.com, http://hotpads.com,
the map-based housing search engine and listing service announced the release
of dynamic foreclosure heat maps and foreclosure listings.
HotPads Foreclosure Heat Maps visually portray the markets hit hardest by
the recent housing crisis and increased foreclosure rate. In the future,
users will be able to track the trends of the foreclosure rates in different
markets by comparing historical foreclosure heat maps on a week-by-week and
month-by-month basis. This will bring a greater transparency to the housing
crisis and illustrate the trends in each market.
"A graphical heat map is the fastest and easiest way to interpret a vast
amount of data. The foreclosure heat maps are a helpful way for our users to
research how the housing crisis has affected various areas, as well as track
foreclosure trends over time," says Matt Corgan, co-founder and director of
technology of HotPads.com.
In addition to the Foreclosure Heat Maps, HotPads is launching foreclosure
listings that are supplied to HotPads through an integration with RealtyTrac
(www.realtytrac.com), the leading online marketplace for foreclosure
properties. Housing shoppers will be able to search through all of
RealtyTrac's foreclosure information on HotPads' map-based search engine.
