"Dancing with the Stars" loses twinkle at ABC

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - ABC was the most-watched network on Monday, even as "Dancing With the Stars" plunged to a season low.

According to Nielsen Media Research, the reality competition averaged 17 million viewers, down sharply from last week's 19.7 million, and off from the season average of 21.7 million.

The network's Christina Applegate comedy "Samantha Who?" pulled in 10 million viewers at 9:30 p.m., off 400,000 from last week's post-strike return." The Bachelor" was up a little (7 million vs. 6.8 million).

Overall, the network averaged 12 million viewers for the evening, ahead of CBS (10.2 million), NBC (9.6 million), and Fox (7.7 million)
