"Office," CBS shine in Thursday ratings
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC's "The Office" pulled one of its highest ratings of the season Thursday, while CBS won in total viewers with "Survivor" and crime reruns.
"The Office" drew 9.8 million viewers, up from the 9.3 million who watched its return to original episodes last week, and a sharp improvement over its season average of 7.8 million.
Its lead-in "30 Rock" was also up from last week (6.4 million vs. 5.8 million), as was its lead-out "Scrubs" (7.3 million vs. 6.6 million).
CBS averaged 10.8 million viewers for the night, vs. 9.4 million for Fox, 7.6 million for NBC and 4.8 million for ABC. CBS' "Survivor" pulled in 12.1 million viewers, up from 11.6 million last week, but down from its season average of 13.6 million.
Fox had "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" (9.2 million) and "Don't Forget the Lyrics" (9.5 million). ABC had repeats and the season finale of "Eli Stone" (6.1 million).
