NBC wins Christmas night with 2-hour "Deal"

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - NBC won Christmas night with a two-hour "Deal or No Deal" that was one of only two originals on broadcast TV.

The quiz show averaged 9.8 million viewers and a 2.6 rating/8 share in adults 18-49, according to preliminary estimates released Wednesday by Nielsen Media Research.

The only other original, CBS' "48 Hours Mystery," came in third place at 10 p.m. with 4.2 million viewers and a 1.2/4 in the key demo. It was beaten by NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" (7.6 million, 2.1/6) and the third hour of ABC's "Pirates of the Caribbean" (5.5 million, 2.0/6).

For the night, NBC led the pack (9 million, 2.4/8), followed by Fox (5.7 million, 1.9/6), ABC (5.5 million, 2.0/6), CBS (5.4 million, 1.2/4), and the CW (919,000, 0.4/1).
