Reliance Comm planning JV with Alcatel-Lucent: source
NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's No. 2 mobile operator, Reliance Communications (RLCM.BO), may announce a network management joint venture with French-American telecoms equipment provider Alcatel-Lucent (ALUA.PA), a source familiar with the situation said on Monday.
Reliance has called a news conference at 3:30 p.m. local time (1000 GMT) to share a "significant development".
The Hindustan Times newspaper, quoting telecommunications industry sources, said on Monday Reliance was set to form an equal joint-venture with Alcatel-Lucent to outsource the management of its telecom networks.
