TOKYO (Reuters) - Japanese pharmaceutical maker Shionogi & Co (4507.T) said on Monday that it plans to buy a 100 percent stake in Sciele Pharma Inc SCRX.O of the U.S. for $1.42 billion.
Shionogi said it plans to offer $31 per Sciele Pharma share. The bid is expected to start within 10 business days, said Shionogi in a statement.
