3Com to skip investor vote, continue merger talks

NEW YORK (Reuters) - 3Com Corp (COMS.O) said on Thursday it plans to immediately adjourn Friday's annual shareholders meeting without taking a vote on a proposed takeover by Bain Capital Partners and China's Huawei Technologies Co Ltd HWT.UL.

The network gear maker said it would continue discussions with Bain and reconvene the meeting a week later, on March 7.
