NEW YORK (Reuters) - Home video clips uploaded to Internet video service Revver will be available on Verizon Communications Inc.'s television service FiOS, the companies said on Thursday, as interest in watching clips on TV grows.

Revver, one of the first online video services that agreed to split advertising revenue with creators, said some of its videos will be available on-demand directly on TV screens later this year, the company said.

The videos will not be streamed directly to TV viewers, but stored on FiOS' system, Revver said.

Verizon is expected to keep at least 20 percent of advertising revenue generated from the video with the remainder split evenly between Revver and the content creators, a Revver spokeswoman said.

The deal reflects interest among traditional distributors and the technology industry to make Internet videos easier to watch on television and follows similar offerings from other companies.

Comcast Corp., the top U.S. cable operator, last November said it would make select Internet videos from Ziddio.com available on its on-demand TV service.

Digital video recorder technology company TiVo Inc. landed a deal with online retailer Amazon.com to make movies and shows purchased online viewable on TVs connected to TiVo set-top boxes.

Revver videos have been available on Verizon Wireless' V Cast cell phone service, through a separate agreement.

Revver's videos will also be available on Verizon's broadband entertainment Web site by the end of the first quarter.
