BOJ seen taking easing steps next week-PM Abe's economic adviser

TOKYO, Jan 18 (Reuters) - The Bank of Japan is expected to take some form of monetary easing steps next week, an economic adviser to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Friday.

“Only after monetary policy is used at its full extent would fiscal policy be effective in stimulating the economy,” Koichi Hamada, special economic adviser to Abe, told a news conference.
