BEIJING, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Chinese President Hu Jintao said on Tuesday he had agreed with visiting U.S. President Barack Obama that the two countries would increase cooperation on clean energy and climate change.

The meeting comes less than a month before U.N.-led talks in Copenhagen, which aim to shape a new framework to tackle global warming. Together the U.S. and China account for 40 percent of world emissions, so their support is vital to any agreement.
