ATHENS, June 28 (Reuters) - A Greek ferry carrying 478 passengers ran aground off the island of Inousses in the northeastern Aegean Sea on Saturday, the country's merchant marine ministry said.

"The ferry Theophilos on route to Piraeus from Mytiline ran aground off Inousses (near Chios island). Passengers are not considered to be in danger, but vessels and planes are being sent in to assist for precautionary reasons," an official said. (Reporting by George Hatzidakis)
