ATHENS, Nov 3 (Reuters) - A quake of a magnitude between 5.7 to 5.9 struck off Greece early on Tuesday without causing any damage, officials said.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the tremor measured 5.9 magnitude and was quite shallow, at a depth of only 6.2 miles (10 km) below the seabed. It was centred in the Ionian Sea, 94 miles (152 km) west of Patras.

The quake struck at 7:25 a.m. (0525 GMT).

The Athens Geodynamic Institute measured it at 5.7 magnitude.

Police and fire brigade officials said there were no reports of injuries or damage. "There is no problem," the fire brigade said.

Greece is regularly hit by earthquakes.
