Moderate earthquake in Tanzania - USGS

WASHINGTON, Dec 8 (Reuters) - A moderate 5.7 earthquake struck 128 miles (206 km) west-southwest of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, at 1955 GMT, the U.S. Geological Survey reported on Saturday.

The quake was reported at a depth of 6.2 miles (10 km). USGS said the quake occurred away from populated areas and no reports of damage had been received. (Writing by Jackie Frank)
