CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla., July 12 (Reuters) - NASA postponed the launch of space shuttle Endeavour on Sunday due to thunderstorms near the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, a space agency official said.

NASA said it would try to launch on Monday.

Endeavour had been scheduled to lift off at 7:13 p.m. EDT (2313 GMT) on Sunday on a 16-day mission to install a Japanese-built outdoor porch on the International Space Station. (Reporting by Irene Klotz, editing by Jim Loney)
