Shuttle Endeavour leaves space station, heads home

HOUSTON, March 24 (Reuters) - U.S. space shuttle Endeavour undocked from the International Space Station on Monday to begin its return to Earth after a 12-day stay in which it delivered the first segment of a Japanese space laboratory.

The shuttle was scheduled to land on Wednesday evening at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. (Reporting by Jeff Franks, editing by Todd Eastham)
