BEIJING, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Eleven people were killed and four injured in a hotel fire in eastern China's Zhejiang province early on Friday, Xinhua news agency said.

The fire broke out at 1:50 a.m. local time in the Chengshuai hotel in Yiwu city and was put out within an hour. Firefighters rescued 23 people, but 11 died in hospital and four were still being treated, Xinhua said.

Yiwu is a booming manufacturing and commodities trading centre.

In December, a fire in a ground-floor flower shop in another Zhejiang city spread to a dance hall and an apartment block above, killing 21 people. (Reporting by Guo Shipeng; Editing by Alex Richardson)
