BEIJING, Feb 18 (Reuters) - A 22-year-old Chinese man from the central province of Hunan has died of the H5N1 form of bird flu, the Health Ministry said on Monday.

The man first noticed symptoms of fever on Jan. 16 and died on Jan. 24, the ministry said on its Web site. A specimen from the victim was later sent to a central government laboratory and was confirmed as containing the H5N1 virus on Sunday, it said. (Reporting by Jason Subler)
