SEOUL, Sept 3 (Reuters) - The following is a summary of major South Korean newspapers on Monday, prepared by Reuters in Seoul. Reuters has not checked the stories and does not guarantee their accuracy.

CHOSUN ILBO

- Nissan Korea (7201.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) will push its Nissan brand into the South Korean automobile market starting around July of next year, according to a company official.

JOONGANG ILBO

- Hyundai Motor Co (005380.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) will provide an incentive of 10,000 yuan ($1,326) per car to dealers in China, a company official said.

HANKYOREH

- The Taliban beat two male hostages while demanding the South Korean hostages convert to Islam while holding them captive in Afghanistan, said a pastor at Saemmul Church in Seoul, which sponsored the Christian volunteers' trip.

MAEIL BUSINESS NEWSPAPER

- Park Jong-woo, head of Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (005930.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) digital media business, and Kang Shin-ik, LG Electronics Inc. (066570.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) head of digital displays, said the two companies may cooperate in the TV panel business.

- GS Holdings Corp (078930.KS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) will seek growth in its overseas business through acquisitions and setting up joint ventures, said chairman Huh Chang-soo.
