S.Korea cabinet offers to resign over US beef flap

SEOUL, June 10 (Reuters) - South Korea's cabinet offered to resign on Tuesday after a government deal to widen the market to U.S. beef imports sparked massive street protests and led to a sharp fall in the president's support rate, local media said.

Local media had earlier speculated that President Lee Myung-bak, who pro-business reforms to rebuild the world's fourth largest economy have been slowed by the protests, would accept accept the resignation of at least three ministers and a number of top aides.
