US envoy warns of possible new UN steps on Zimbabwe
UNITED NATIONS, June 24 (Reuters) - The U.N. Security Council will consider further steps on Zimbabwe if Harare ignores a council statement declaring a free and fair election run-off impossible, U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad said on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters after a council session, Khalilzad, who is currently president of the council, declined to be drawn on what steps the 15-nation body might take.
