BRUSSELS, March 21 Italy will resume control of
airbases it has authorised for use by allies in operations over
Libya unless a NATO coordination structure is agreed for the
mission, Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said on Monday.
"If there were a multiplication of commands, which would be
mistaken in itself, we would have to find a means for Italy to
resume control of its own command structures," Frattini told
reporters at a meeting in Brussels.
He added that "we would have to look for an operational
solution which would ensure than someone else's action did not
rebound on us."
