NEW YORK (Reuters Life!) - A U.S. hotel has come up with a new way to get a kick out of champagne -- rubbing it into your face and body and pouring it into a bath.

The I Spa at the Willard InterContinental, Washington, D.C., is offering new treatments that claim to utilize "the skin firming benefits of champagne."

Champagne is added to a bath to help tighten pores and firm the skin and then guests can choose from a massage with a champagne-based oil or a champagne body treatment.

Other options include having a bottle of warmed champagne poured over the body while wrapped in a warm towel or applying a champagne cream as a detoxifying mask.

To top it off? A dusting of 24-karat gold body glow.

"The fizz from the champagne that you see in your glass is very good for closing pores and it makes the skin tighter and firmer," spa director Annie Gaye told Reuters.

"Champagne is also high in antioxidants, which means it makes your skin healthy, more glowing. Champagne is such a classic -- so glamorous and now you can really get the best out of champagne in a different way."

The treatments, starting in December, are priced at $325 -- equivalent to about eight bottles of Moet & Chandon champagne.
