LONDON, March 5 (Reuters) - Lloyds Banking Group said if Scotland votes this year to become independent from the rest of the United Kingdom it could materially impact its compliance and funding costs and tax position.

"The impact of a 'yes' vote in favour of Scottish independence is uncertain. The outcome could have a material impact on compliance costs, the tax position, and cost of funding for the group," the bank said in its annual report released on Wednesday.
