Luxembourg finmin blocks Libyan cenbank, LIA accounts

LUXEMBOURG, March 8 (Reuters) - Luxembourg has frozen accounts belonging to Libya's central bank and its sovereign wealth fund, Finance Minister Luc Frieden said on Tuesday.

The two blocked accounts held less than one billion euros, a spokesman for Luxembourg's finance ministry said, after Frieden announced the measures in parliament.

The Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) is a $70 billion sovereign wealth fund with a broad range of investments in Europe.
