Australia's Lynas sees first ore at Mount Weld rare earths plant

SYDNEY, March 16 (Reuters) - Australia’s Lynas Corporation said on Wednesday it expects the first feed of ore into the concentration plant at its Mount Weld rare earths project in Western Australia in the week starting March 31, provided there are no further weather delays.

The company said in a statement that the first feed of concentrate into the kiln at the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant in Malaysia was on schedule for the third quarter of 2011. (Reporting by Ed Davies)
