GOLDMAN SACHS GROUP INC (GS.N)

Goldman Sachs Bank USA, a New York-based bank subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Group, has added three new members to its board. The new members are Matthew Barrett, most recently chief executive officer of Barclays PLC (BARC.L); Ann Kaplan, previously a general partner at Goldman Sachs & Co and now an adjunct professor of finance at Columbia University School of Business; and also Thomas Melzer, co-founder and managing director of venture capital firm RiverVest Venture Partners.

STANADRD CHARTERED PLC (STAN.L) (2888.HK)

The Asia-focused bank named John Peace as its chairman on Thursday, prompting him to step down as chairman of financial data company Experian (EXPN.L).

Peace, 60, has been acting chairman at Standard Chartered since January, when Mervyn King stepped down on short notice to become a Treasury minister. To read more, double click [ID:nL2268302]

KPMG LLP

The audit, tax and advisory firm named Mark Britnell as its new head of Healthcare Europe. The former director general for commissioning and system management at the Department of Health will join KPMG as a partner, effective Oct. 1, the company said.

PRUDENTIAL PLC (PRU.L)

The British insurer named Rob Devey as chief executive, Prudential UK and Europe. Devey will succeed Nick Prettejohn, who will leave the group in September.

Devey will join Prudential from Lloyds Banking Group PLC (LLOY.L), where he has worked since 2002 in a number of senior leadership roles across insurance and retail banking.

EVOLUTION SECURITIES LTD

The British-based independent investment bank named Colin Phillips as managing director. Phillips will be responsible for marketing the company to potential clients and investors, among other duties.  Continued...
