MOSCOW, June 30 (Reuters) - Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel (GMKN.MM) said on Tuesday VTB deputy chief executive Vasily Titov will join its board of directors, increasing the number of government-affiliated board representatives to two.

State-controlled VTB (VTBR.MM) had sought a seat on the board after it loaned $3.2 billion to one of the company's main shareholders, Vladimir Potanin, according to reports in the Russian press. [ID:nLQ172532]

Kremlin deal-broker Alexander Voloshin, chief of staff of late President Boris Yeltsin, was also re-elected as chairman of the board.

The board has 13 members in total, including four representatives from UC RUSAL, controlled by billioanaire Oleg Deripaska, and four from Potanin's Interros holding company.
