UPDATE 1-CVS names new CFO

NEW YORK, Nov 5 (Reuters) - CVS Caremark Corp (CVS.N) named a new chief financial officer on Thursday, more than 8 months after saying its current CFO planned to retire by year-end.

The drugstore chain said David Denton, its chief accounting officer, would assume the roles of executive vice president and chief financial officer on Jan. 1.
