CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher ahead of Fed meeting

TORONTO, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
higher on Tuesday in a broad-based rally led by banking stocks,
ahead of a two-day Federal Reserve policy meeting at which
investors widely expect the U.S. central bank to stick with its
monetary stimulus.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 49.04 points, or 0.36 percent, at 13,420.48
shortly after the open.
