U.S. dollar rises to 2-mth high vs Canadian dollar

LONDON, May 23 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar rose to its highest in two months against the Canadian dollar on Monday as investors cut holdings in growth-linked currencies on the back of a broad sell off in commodities like crude oil.

The greenback rose to C$0.9798 CAD=D4, its highest since March 28, and up 0.5 percent on the day. Other commodity-linked currencies like the Australian AUD=D4 and New Zealand dollars NZD=D4 were also on the backfoot as investors cut exposure to metals like copper.
