SONICWALL INC SNWL.O, $11.33, up 26 pct

The company Wednesday said it agreed to be bought by an investor group led by private equity firm Thoma Bravo in a deal the IT security company valued at about $717 million. [ID:nN02200018]

EXIDE TECHNOLOGIES XIDE.O, $5.22, up 22 pct

The provider of stored electrical energy solutions Wednesday posted a quarterly profit that beat analysts’ expectations.

FUELCELL ENERGY INC (FCEL.O), $2.55 , up 20 pct

The company said it was awarded a $12.6 million contract to install power plants in two university campuses by a unit of PG&E Corp (PCG.N). [ID:nSGE6520HI]

CYBERONICS INC CYBX.O, $21.67, up 16 pct

The company Wednesday posted quarterly results that handily beat consensus expectations.

JAVELIN PHARMACEUTICALS INC JAV.A, $1.29, down 15 pct

The company said it has filed a lawsuit against its acquirer Hospira Inc HSP.N and its unit, claiming they have breached the merger agreement. [ID:nSGE6520F8]

AMERICAN CAPITAL LTD ACAS.O, $4.54, down 13 pct

The debt-laden company may file for bankruptcy based on disappointing results of a bondholder vote on debt restructuring, Stifel Nicolaus said, recommending that investors sell the stock. [ID:nSGE6520FN]

PIER 1 IMPORTS (PIR.N), $8.28, up 12 pct

The company Wednesday said it started a mid-stage hepatitis C trial in collaboration with Bristol-Myers.

JOY GLOBAL INC JOYG.O, $53.62, up 2 pct
