U.S. 10-year yields at highest since July 2011

LONDON, Sept 5 (Reuters) - U.S. 10-year Treasury note yields hit their highest level since July 2011 on Thursday after strong data this week reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve will soon cut its bond purchases.

The benchmark T-note yields rose to 2.94 percent, up 4.3 basis points on the day.
