ISTANBUL, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Turkish media group Dogan Yayin Holding (DYHOL.IS) said on Friday that the company and some units had received an invitation from the finance ministry for settlement of tax fines.

The case has sparked worries over press freedom in the EU-candidate country.

Dogan said in a filing with the stock exchange that its units Dogan TV Holding, Dogan Produksiyon, Alp Gorsel Iletisim and D Yapim Reklamcilik received invitation from the finance ministry for 3.646 billion lira ($2.44 billion) in tax fines. (Reporting by Selcuk Gokoluk)
