MEXICO CITY, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Mexican Senate committees approved on Tuesday higher taxes on beer, tobacco and gaming as part of an income package being discussed in Congress.

The move could hit broadcaster Grupo Televisa (TV.N) (TLVACPO.MX) and live entertainment giant CIE (CIEB.MX), who run bingo halls across Mexico, as well as brewers Grupo Modelo (GMODELOC.MX) and FEMSA (FMSAUBD.MX) (FMX.N), the leading beer makers in the country.
